A learning management system designed for accessibility and engagement, serving students across rural Pakistan.
Problem
The Noor Foundation needed a learning platform optimized for low-bandwidth environments and devices commonly used in rural Pakistan. Existing LMS platforms were too resource-heavy and assumed stable internet connectivity.
Approach
Extensive field research with students and teachers in Sindh and Punjab informed every design decision. Offline-first capabilities, progressive image loading, and minimal JavaScript payloads were non-negotiable requirements. The UI was tested with first-time smartphone users.
Solution
A progressive web application with offline course access, audio-based lessons for low-literacy support, and a lightweight admin panel for content management. Video content is served via adaptive bitrate streaming. The teacher dashboard tracks student progress with simple, intuitive visualizations.
